Scoring

How are Points Calculated?

Points for T20 cricket has 3 components:

Batting

Points

BBP is calculated as per the following table:

BATTING Points

SRM aims to reward or penalise batting strike rates that are far better or far worse than the rest of the team.
Relative Strike Rate = Strike Rate of Batter/Strike Rate of rest of team
For example, if a batter scores 50 off 20 balls (SR 250) and the rest of his team scores 100 off 100 balls (SR 100)
Relative Strike Rate = 250/100 = 2.5

SRM is then calculated as follows:

Relative Strike Rate Strike Rate Multiplier(SRM)
>1.7
1.5
Greater than 1.6 but less than or equal to 1.7
1.4
Greater than 1.5 but less than or equal to 1.6
1.3
Greater than 1.4 but less than or equal to 1.5
1.2
Greater than 1.2 but less than or equal to 1.4
1.1
Greater than 0.8 but less than or equal to 1.2
1
Greater than 0.7 but less than or equal to 0.8
0.9
Greater than 0.6 but less than or equal to 0.7
0.8
Greater than 0.5 but less than or equal to 0.6
0.7
Greater than 0.4 but less than or equal to 0.5
0.6
Less than 0.4
0.5

SRM is only applicable if the BBS is positive. If BBS is negative, SRM is 1 for all cases.

Bowling

Points

BBoP is calculated as per the following table:

ERM aims to reward or penalise economy rates (ER) that are far better or far worse than the rest of the team.
Relative Economy Rate = Economy Rate of Bowler/Economy Rate of rest of team
For example, if a bowler gives away 20 runs off 4 over (ER 5.0) and the rest of his team gives away 128 runs in 16 overs (ER 8.0)

ERM is then calculated as follows:

Relative Economy Rate Economy Rate Multiplier(ERM)
>1.7
0.5
Greater than 1.6 but less than or equal to 1.7
0.6
Greater than 1.5 but less than or equal to 1.6
0.7
Greater than 1.4 but less than or equal to 1.5
0.8
Greater than 1.2 but less than or equal to 1.4
0.9
Greater than 0.8 but less than or equal to 1.2
1
Greater than 0.7 but less than or equal to 0.8
1.1
Greater than 0.6 but less than or equal to 0.7
1.2
Greater than 0.5 but less than or equal to 0.6
1.3
Greater than 0.4 but less than or equal to 0.5
1.4
Less than 0.4
1.5

ERM is only applicable if the BBoS is positive. If BBoS is negative, ERM is 1 for all cases.
