So, let’s get right into it.

Match 4: Karachi Kings vs. Islamabad United

Islamabad United 178 for 6 (Munro 58, Azam 44) beat Karachi Kings 173 for 7 (Haider 59, Amir 2/30(↑7%)) by 4 wickets.

Islamabad United won the toss and decided to go for the chase. Rumman Raees rattled the stumps of James Vince in the opening over. Then, Sharjeel Khan(↓12%) and Haider Ali formed an impressive 77-run partnership in 56 deliveries. Sharjeel was dismissed after scoring 34 runs in 26 balls while Haider got 59 off 45.

With the wicket of Haider Ali, the Kings lost 3 wickets for just 8 runs. Then, Shoaib Malik’s 18, Irfan Niazi’s 19, and James Fuller’s 12 prompted the batting side to 173 for 7 in 20 overs. Rumman Raees, Mohammed Wasim Jr, and Tom Curran picked 2 wickets apiece.

Mohammad Amir(↑7%) removed the debutant Hasan Nawaz in the second over of the chase. With Paul Stirling(↑24%) falling at the score of 21, Islamabad were under some serious pressure. But, Colin Munro and Rassie van der Dussen stitched a 59-run stand to calm the nerves. It was followed by a partnership of 56 runs between Munro and Azam Khan.

When Munro was run-out after scoring 58 in just 28 balls, the equation had come down to 38 off 32. Azam Khan’s 44 off 28 made sure that there were no dramas in the final overs. The United got to a 4-wicket win with 10 balls left in their innings. Mohammed Amir(↑7%) and Mohammed Musa got 2 scalps each. The points table is shaping up nicely now after 4 games have been completed.
