Starc and Green’s Injuries Area of Concern For Australia

Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc are both nursing their finger wounds and the last option is probably going to find a way to recover, making them doubtful for the Test series against India in February. Green, who broke his right pointer, is set to go through a medical procedure after he counseled a trained professional. However, he is probably going to make a recovery in no less than a month. Starc, in the meantime, may not need a medical procedure, yet the harm done to the ligament to his left side center finger could keep him away from cricket for a more drawn-out period.

It’s my bowling hand so I must be cautious and ensure it recovers appropriately,” Starc told cricket.com.au. ” So far, what I know is Cameron (Green) will be back before I’m. I think we’ll both be seeing a similarly trained professional.”  Despite his harmed finger, which he supported while batting in the main innings, Starc bowled 18 overs in the match and got the wicket of Sarel Erwee against South Africa in the boxing day test match. On the other side, Green batted with his broken finger and struck 50 runs. He was restricted from bowling while the medical staff was certain that Starc would have the option to bowl without irritating his physical issue.

“I’ve played with a messed up foot previously … It’s Test match cricket. I’ve been there before! Having Greeny with a busted finger too left us with no choice apart from pushing through. Particularly with the bowling side of things, we had the entire second innings to go and it would have been hard to have only three bowlers,” he said.

Captain Pat Cummins heavily praised Starc and Green for making commitments despite their wounds. Talking at the public interview, the Australia skipper said: “(It’s) likely a great opportunity to specify everyone for their extraordinary accomplishments this week. Starc with a finger that will put him out for half a month, has the grit to go out and do that. Cam Green, something similar, ‘guts-ing’ it out for us.
